Executive Director

Mike George is an electrical engineer in the vastly interconnected world of energy, with over a decade of applied experience in the utility industry. His expertise in the “green” energy space has explored the effects of power grid decentralization and localized power generation.

Mike founded Crimson Rouge Studios in Montréal, Québec in March 2019, to produce events and educational programs to inspire and nurture the next generation of Queer artists and innovators in sciences, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

It is Mike's mission to leverage the capabilities, efficiencies, and reliability of the electric power system, to jump-start and develop in tandem modern public transport solutions in North America that are safe, practical, reliable, and accessible to all Americans.

Sole son to Li-Yu Tsai and Lauren George, Mike was born and raised in the heart of steel country Ohio, Steubenville. He’s spent most of his life in Ohio, but had the pleasure of living in Orlando, Montréal, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Portland, Oregon.

Mike presently lives in Columbus, Ohio. He’s a Queer man who identifies as a proud American of Taiwanese-Caucasian descent.

We want to see ourselves in others. We are an empathetic species. We are convinced when we are moved much more often than we are convinced when we are informed.
