Crossing the Mississippi

After spending 2 years in Louisiana for his last utility/engineering job, Mike finally manages to return to the proper side of the Mississippi River to discover the cute little town of Natchez, sitting atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River.

This is Mike George coming at you "live on tape" from a bridge high above the mighty Mississippi River. I’d love to turn the camera around to show you the view, but for now, you're stuck with a picture of me.

I’ve made a rather interesting discovery while walking across this thing. Look what I found here - I’ve come across an access door that is completely unlocked and open. There’s a ladder right there, and I’m currently debating whether to climb up or head down. Usually, in the movies, they tell you to go up, and looking down seems a little more hazardous, so I think I know which way I’m leaning. I might have to come back and play with this ladder later if I can’t find a good internet connection in my next destination.

But for now, the big news is that I am officially crossing the Mississippi River. I’m leaving Louisiana behind and moving east into Natchez, Mississippi. We made it, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!

I'm heading into downtown Natchez now to see what the city has in store for me. As always, take care of yourselves and take care of somebody else.
