Step into the world of animation as the legendary voice actress Nancy Cartwright — best known around the globe as the iconic voice of Bart Simpson — comes to campus for a special live appearance.
Hosted by the University Activities Board, the event offers students and fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the craft of voice acting, memorable stories from her long-running career on The Simpsons, and a live demonstration of the famous character voices that shaped television history.
Metro Nights
UAB gives students a chance to party the night away
Metro Nights promises to take Raiders from the Student Union to big-city nightlife. The two-night event will feature three dance clubs per night in the Student Union. The six dance clubs in total will each focus on a different kind of music.
Although the event is coordinated by the University Activities Board (UAB), each club is hosted by a different student organization — the University Center for International Education (UCIE), Rainbow Alliance, Latinos Involved in Further Education, WWSU and the Black Student Union.
Ben Folds Live
Join the University Activities Board (UAB) for a high-energy night of live music as singer-songwriter and piano master Ben Folds brings his tour to Wright State in support of his latest album, Songs for Silverman.
Known for his dynamic stage presence and fan-favorite hits like "Army," Folds delivers an unforgettable performance packed with crowd participation, sharp lyrics, and classic piano-driven rock.
Chicago-based singer-songwriter Chris Mills kicks off the evening at 7:00 PM
Recycled Percussion
Experience a high-octane, heart-pounding concert as the four-man crew from New Hampshire brings their signature "junk rock" sound to campus! Performing on everything from buckets and ladders to power tools, chainsaws, and the kitchen sink, Recycled Percussion combines high-energy drumming, live beatboxing, and seamless DJ scratch mixes featuring hits like "American Idiot" and "Back in Black."
Expect non-stop action, flying drumsticks, and total crowd participation in a show built to get everyone on their feet.
Kuumba Black Arts Festival
In celebration of Black History Month, Wright State University hosted its 2nd-annual Kuumba Black Arts Festival, a vibrant campus showcase highlighting the richness, history, and creative expressions of African and African American culture.
Named after Kuumba — the Swahili principle of Kwanzaa meaning "creativity" — the festival brings together students, faculty, staff, and community members for a multi-sensory artistic experience.
