Good morning, this is Mike George coming at you live — and I know, I probably say the word "live" an annoying number of times, don't I?

Please excuse the technical glitch for a moment while I try to get this speaker to turn off. You know what? Let's just roll with it. This music might as well be the theme song to my life right now. Actually, since I’m wearing this Mr. Rogers-style sweater and I’ve got the music going, it feels only right to do a little homage. It’s such a good feeling to know you’re alive... I just couldn't resist. It’s such a beautiful sentiment, and it really fits the mood today.

It’s a beautiful Friday morning here — maybe not quite as warm as the 20-degree post-rain weather I reported on yesterday, but still lovely. And the best part? I’m off work today\! I took the day off, and honestly, it feels like forever since I’ve been able to say those words out loud.

So, welcome to whatever the heck this is—let’s call it the Mike George Show for today. I was watching my broadcast from yesterday and reflecting on things.
