A Streetcar Named Temptation
Mike awaits the streetcar in Portland, near the Tillikum Bridge, sharing updates on his apartment hunting journey.
I'm coming to you live from the Tilikum Bridge in Portland, Oregon. Honestly, I’m just waiting for the MAX right now, but I wanted to jump on and give you all an update because it’s been a long, productive day. I’ve actually seen three apartments today, and the last one? I’ve got a really good feeling about it. I think there’s a very high chance I’ll be moving in there soon.
Of course, getting around hasn't been the easiest. I’ve been having a bit of a standoff with the streetcars here. I’m calling this one "A Streetcar Named Undesire," because it literally just stopped, taunted me, and then didn't even let me on! I’m out here throwing shade at the slow-moving transit. because I’m just trying to get home.
I know I look a little tired—I’ve definitely got some bags under my eyes—but I’m still feeling good. got my portable speaker going, playing some music to keep the vibes right while I wait. I’m actually impressed with how clear the audio is sounding on this stream. I’m also pretty proud of the outfit today; I’ve got my hoodie and my lanyard on, so everyone at this stop knows exactly who I am.
Shoutout to Daniel, Corey, Anthony, and everyone else hanging out in the comments. It’s been a "hurry up and wait" kind of afternoon, but the momentum is moving in the right direction with the housing situation. I’m going to head out and try to catch this train. Take care of yourselves, and more importantly, take care of each other!
