The Game of LIFE

Mike joins Leah and Matt in Portland as they gather to play the board game of LIFE.

Good afternoon, this is Mike George coming at you live from Portland, Oregon, and I’m here with the lovely Leah Paul.

Leah: (dryly)
Hello.

Mike:
Oh, come on, Leah! You’ve got to have more spunk than that, dear!

Leah:
No, I really don’t like being on camera. We should have talked about this during the last three times you mentioned going live, but you always just say you don't care and we’re doing it anyway.

Mike: (laughing)
Oh, okay, I’m sorry! Well, we also have Matthew here with us.

Matt:
Hello, hello! How’s everyone doing?

Mike:
We’re doing good! We were actually right in the middle of playing The Game of Life before we jumped on here.

Matt:
I think we just got a little bored.

Mike:
Hey, is it my turn yet? I still haven't even picked my career; I need to go again!

Leah:
We are still waiting on you, but it's okay because Matt is doing some laundry right now.

Mike:
It’s fine! So, here is the plan: we’re going to broadcast our board game live for everyone to watch.

Leah:
Mike, I really don’t think that is a good idea. Anyone who has ever played a board game with me knows that this will not end well.

Mike:
Oh, stop it! This is the game of LIFE; it’s a pretty benign, non-dramatic game.

Leah:
Just you wait until I’m stuck between college and marriage—then we’ll see how "benign" it is. Bye, everybody!

Mike: (to the camera)
Well, I guess we aren’t allowed to broadcast the game after all, even though a lot of people seem to be tuning in. That’s funny.

Matt:
Probably for the best.

Mike:
Just to give you a quick update on the game: I was the one who chose the career path, while these two suckers chose to go to college. We’ll see in a couple of hours who wins out with more money and less debt! Anyway, live from Portland, this is Mike George. Bye!
